Best Modest Budget Victoria BC Hotels

The Days Inn is a modest Victoria BC hotel located right at the Inner Harbour - excellent location if you're on foot. As part of a chain, there's no charm to the rooms, but they tend to run some good seasonal specials, and packages. Rooms are clean, with a heated outdoor pool. On-site restaurant is convenient for families.

The Travelodge is a hotel (motel) we've stayed at, that's located on the Gorge - about a 5 minute drive from downtown Victoria. Definitely no frills rooms, but clean, quiet and comfortable.

If you don't want to stay right downtown, this is a good option. Indoor pool and on-site cafe.

On a tight budget? Some of the best cheap hotels Victoria BC offers downtown or close to:

The Traveller's Inn - located just outside the core downtown area, you can find rooms here for around $60CDN per night. No frills, but basic and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff.

The Dalton Hotel & Suites - this downtown Victoria hotel has well-priced standard rooms. Excellent location right downtown. Small rooms have been renovated, but aren't extravagant. Don't expect great views of anything. Movie theatres, restaurants and shopping just steps away. OUR TIP: Ask for a room that doesn't face Yates Street if you like it quiet.

Best Luxury Hotels in Victoria BC

The Coast Victoria Harbourside Hotel & Marina is an excellent Victoria BC hotel with every room offering a city or harbour view. Our parents stayed here and loved it. Although its location puts it at the south end of the harbour, you can still get to downtown Victoria on foot easily. Bonus: hotel has its own private 42-slip marina. Generous sized rooms with excellent amenities. The excellent Blue Crab Bar and Grill, is located in the hotel and is worth trying out.

The Hotel Grand Pacific is another luxury hotel in Victoria, located in the Inner Harbour across from the Wax Museum. Excellent rooms all come with private balconies. Bonus: you can request a room with a harbour, city or mountain view. Very good on-site restaurant, spa facilities, and more, and this hotel's got very easy access to downtown.
